Maspalomas Dunes – Sahara on Gran Canaria

A golden sea of sand stretching right next to the ocean. The Maspalomas Dunes are a unique nature reserve in the south of Gran Canaria, formed thousands of years ago from sand carried over from Africa. Walking among the undulating dunes feels like a journey through a miniature Sahara.

It’s the perfect place for photographs, sunsets, and moments of peace away from the crowds. The dunes change shape every day – the wind reshapes them anew each morning.
